Using HEAP with Upstate Energy

If you receive HEAP assistance and use Upstate Energy for your home heating fuel, our team can help you with the information needed to use your HEAP benefit with us. HEAP eligibility, benefit amounts and program availability are determined by New York State and your local HEAP district.

How to Apply for HEAP

For current HEAP eligibility, benefit information and application options, visit the official New York State HEAP website. Outside New York City, Regular HEAP applications may be submitted online through myBenefits when the program is open. Other HEAP benefits may require contacting your local social services district directly.
